Transition Instructions

When transitioning your pet to a new food, we recommend a gradual introduction of the new formula over a 7 day period. For pets with sensitivities, extend the transition period to 10 to 14 days. Start by adding a small amount of your pet's new food to his or her current food. Gradually, increase the new food amount and decrease the current food amount at each feeding until you are feeding only the new food.

Good food, bad packaging

I love the dog food, but hate when I order other items and they put them in the same box. Twice now my dog food bag has been ripped open when I receive it in the box. Both times the dog food bag was packaged with other item, which had semi sharp edges that cut the bag open.
Helped with stomach issues

I have a pit/ boxer mix that we reduced almost 3 years ago. He was having loose poop issues. I tried many brands and ingredients. We even did prescription food from the Vet which turned his poop black. When I tried Diamond naturals within a few days of the full transition period his poop was solid. He has been on this almost a year and he still likes it and we are having no more issues.
My dog hates this food.

My dog hates this food. She will only eat it if I pour something over it. Like beef broth. If we put it in her bowl she will sit and stare at us and whine. She won't eat it though. I will never buy it again.
Love it, better than lots of other brand

My dogs are picky eater. I have tried all kind of food that are expensive including instinct raw boost, marricks, bule wilderness, canidae pure, Acanna, Orijen. They all gets tired of the kibbles within couple weeks. So I was expecting them gets tired of this food very soon. It had been almost 4 weeks, they seems love this new kibble and finish it all in one sitting. Also it has great protein percentage to support my GSD puppy's growth. Thank you Diamond Natural for this affordable high value product.

It's not often I can find a food that fits the needs of both of my very different dogs. Lower protein for the pug's sensitive tummy, all stages (8 month old pug and 2 year old BC mix), high marks from Dog Food Advisor, fits within my budget AND -- and this is the tough one -- that they'll both eat without me adding tasties on top. This checked all the marks. I do add salmon oil to their breakfast but even other meals where there's nothing on top is devoured. That's very unusual. Thanks for providing a quality product that doesn't break the bank!
Amazing food

This dog food is amazing. It took a while for my picky eater to start to enjoy it, but she is finally starting to love it. She is a shelter dog and is very strange with any food I put in front of her. We just recently adopted a puppy and the puppy LOVES it. My big must haves were: 1. 4 star or more on dog food advisor 2. Affordable price 3. No grain free!! I have to say, my shelter dog's coat is FLOURISHED after switching to this brand. She is an Australian shepherd mix and her coat had no shine and was relatively short the first 6 months we had her. I switched to this food and now she is fluffy, shiny, and just all around gorgeous (2 years almost!). I am excited to see how our puppy's coat This dog food is amazing. Service is fast and quality of dog food is great. Chewy stands behind their food and will replace if damaged bags or if food is no good.I have been with Chewy for a lot of years and will continue. I have recommended Chewy to a lot of friends.
Diamond Naturals dry dog food

We've been searching for a dog food that our furry friends will readily eat and do well with. It seems that all brands of dry food look the same, dark brown nuggets that have all been overcooked regardless of the ingredients that are supposed to be in it and our dogs walk away from them then later in the day come back at times and gradually eat a few of the kibbles. So far Diamond Naturals is no different, we have not yet opened this recent purchase because we have so much dog food on hand but we are hoping they will eat it.
Easy on the Stomach

I have two older dogs, one of which has huge digestive problems. Most foods, including wet foods, give her raging diarrhea for weeks. I am happy to say not Diamond. I'm also pleased that Diamond HAS grains, grain free foods are not good for your dogs. In addition to being a quality food, they have a pretty good price and the puppy also enjoys this dog food as a treat and will do absolutely anything he can to get it. However, it's increasingly hard to find this food in stores around me, let alone at a decent price.
Bad tasting? Dogs dislike

Both of my dogs (boxer and lab), refuse to eat this food. Very unfortunate after reading the reviews, and spending $40 to just toss it in the trash.
